The study programmes in European studies are of high quality
In 2022, an external evaluation was carried out of the Bachelor’s programme and the Master’s Programmes in European studies. The study programmes get good marks in the final report.
The final report from the external evaluation of the Bachelor’s programme and the the Master’s Programmes in European studies is now published. The evaluators write:
The evaluators’ general impression of the education in European Studies is very positive and that The European Studies programmes at the University of Gothenburg offer a qualified interdisciplinary education in European Studies.
They also highlight the importance of the programmes being embedded in one of Sweden’s largest interdisciplinary milieus for European research.

Another prominent feature of the European Studies programmes is the strong focus on students’ methodological skills, scientific ability, and awareness.
This reflects a clear commitment from the Center for European Studies (CES) to integrating method and scientific perspectives as progression throughout the education, culminating with an extensive interdisciplinary process of examination and grading.
