Martin Eriksson
Project Manager
Wexsus, West Sweden nexus for sustainable development, admAbout Martin Eriksson
I work at Wexsus - West Sweden Nexsus for Sustainable Develoment, which is a joint collaboration arena of University of Gothenburg, Chalmers University of Technology and University West. At Wexsus, we facilitate collaboration and create partnerships between the universities and various societal actors to transition to a sustainable society.
I am involved in different projects but my main task is being the Network Manager for the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Northern Europe. The SDSN Northern Europe an academic network with 67 members from all the five Nordic countries. Our members are Universities, Research Institutes and Civil society organizations. SDSN Northern Europe is part of the global UN SDSN, which under the auspices of the UN Secretary General promotes integrated approaches to implement the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change through education, research, policy analysis, and global cooperation. SDSN Northern Europe operates in alignment with the global SDSN's objectives while tailoring our efforts to address the unique challenges and opportunities in Northern Europe.
Before starting as manager for the SDSN Northern Europe in 2018, I performed research at University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology in the area of environmental science, aquatic ecotoxicology, microbial ecology and environmental impacts from maritime operations.
