Organisation
Centre for Health Governance is a joint investment by the School of Business, Economics and the Sahlgrenska academy. The centre has its administrative base within the Department of Economics, School of Business, Economics and Law.
The centre overall purpose is to generate directly applicable knowledge with significance for the health care sector. To be a node for research and education in the field of Health Governance with a clear responsibility for communication and collaboration within and outside the academy, with focus on health care management and health economics.

Start up and evaluation
Centre for Health Governance was established by the Gothenburg university dean, starting November 2021 and effective six years, to be evaluated after three years, according to university policy for centre establishments at Gothenburg university.
Financing
Core funding by grants for five years from Carl Bennet AB (as part of a bigger health effort) with equal parts from the Gothenburg university and the School of Business, Economics and Law. Sahlgrenska academy is also contributing.
