Admissions

Doctoral students in the Department of Marine Sciences are mostly funded by external grants, and the number of doctoral students therefore depends on the number and kind of research grants in the Department. The Department therefore has no fixed dates for calls for doctoral students.

Calls for Doctoral Students

All calls for doctoral student positions are published on the University’s web page for Vacant positions, and are also announced at the University's Ocean web site – Research, education and news about the ocean.

General requirements

To be eligible to do doctoral studies at the University of Gothenburg, you must satisfy both general and special entry requirements.
