Funds

For several years now, we have administered funding for Nordic projects, networks and other efforts in the field of equality, gender and LGBTI.

We administer the Nordic Gender Equality Fund and the Nordic LGBTI Fund on behalf of the Nordic Council of Ministers, and we have also managed a research initiative. The purpose is to stimulate Nordic cooperation in the field of gender equality and LGBTI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex). The work with these funds is carried out through NIKK, Nordic information on gender, a cooperation body under the Nordic Council of Ministers, located at the Swedish Secretariat for Gender Research.
Since 2024, the Secretariat has also established the Nordic Gender Fund, with the purpose of strengthening infrastructure within a broad field of interdisciplinary, power-critical research in the Nordic region.
