About Karin Horkeby

I defended my thesis 2019 at CBAR (Centre for Bone and Arthritis Research). I have a master of science in pharmacy from Gothenburg University.

I'm doing research in estrogen signaling pathways with a specific interest in membrane estrogen receptor alpha. I'm doing research on how membrane estrogen receptor alpha affects the estrogenic response in inflammatory bone loss, in order to find new targets for the treatment of both osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis.
