More about MFA Symphonic Orchestra Performance

The application process for autumn 2024 has closed. The next applications period is from 2 December 2024 to 15 January 2025. Studies start in the autumn of 2025.

"As a former member of the Berliner Philharmoniker and a worldwide active conductor of both opera and concert, I know a thing or two about what a good orchestra musician needs to know and what our students have to learn.

Our excellent instrumental teachers and international conductors work with you and your fellow students in a peer-to-peer learning environment. We believe in empowering each others strengths. We do so by creating a safe and inspiring atmosphere dedicated to your development and growth, not only as an individual musician, but also as part of a collective.

The Master’s Programme in Orchestra Performance will increase your chances at auditions and during probation time in any professional orchestra around the world immensely."

Henrik Schaefer, artistically responsible during 2015-2023
