GOOS

The Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS) is a programme led by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC), which is part of UNESCO. Since its inception in 1991, GOOS has led several international, national and regional ocean observing programmes, governments, UN agencies, individual scientists and research organisations.
