Vård vid långvariga tillståndOm Joakim Öhlen
Joakim Öhlén är fil. doktor i vårdpedagogik, leg. sjuksköterska och professor i omvårdnad och tidigare föreståndare för Centrum för personcentrerad vård - GPCC. Han är kombinationsanställd som sjuksköterska vid Sahlgrenska universitetssjukhuset och är där verksam vid Palliativt centrum och utnämnd universitetssjukhusöversjuksköterska. Har tidigare innehaft Ersta diakonis professur i palliativ vård vid Ersta Sköndal Bräcke högskola i Stockholm (nuvarande Marie Cederschiöld Högskola).
Forskning/Research Joakim forskar om palliativ vård och personcentrerad vård. Han är föreståndare och bedriver forskning vid Centrum för personcentrerad vård vid Göteborgs universitet. Han leder ett forskningsprogram om implementering av palliativ vård för kunskapsutveckling som bidrar till jämlik och hälsofrämjande palliativ vård. Särskilda intressen rör frågor om personcentrerad kommunikation samt stöd till närstående. Erfarenheter från forskarutbildningsnivå spänner från doktorandhandledning och kursledarskap i forskarutbildningskurser till uppbyggnad och utveckling av forskarutbildning. Han är ledamot i institutionens Forskarutbildningsutskott och arbetade vid Ersta Sköndal Bräcke högskola med utveckling, ansökan och uppstart av forskarutbildning i ämnet palliativ vård inom området Människan i välfärdssamhället.
Forskargrupp/Research group Joakim leder tillsammans med Stefan Nilsson och Anneli Ozanne institutionens Forskargrupp om vård vid långvariga tillstånd: barnsjukvård, neurosjukvård och palliativ vård. Han har lång erfarenhet av forskning inom omvårdnad och palliativ vård.
Undervisning/Education Joakim är utnämnd som Excellent lärare vid Göteborgs universitet och har lång erfarenhet av undervisning inom omvårdnad och palliativ vård, på grund, avancerad och forskarutbildningsnivå inklusive handledning av studenters examensarbeten och ledningsuppdrag för utbildning.
Han är vetenskaplig rådgivare i styrgruppen för forskarskolan SHIFT CARE, ett samarbete mellan institutionen för vårdvetenskap och hälsa och högskolorna Borås, Skövde och Väst, vilken finansieras med 37 miljoner kr från Vetenskapsrådet (Öhlén huvudansvarig forskare).
Han är vetenskapligt råd i palliativ vård vid Svensk sjuksköterskeförening och har haft uppdrag som ämnesansvarig i omvårdnad vid Sahlgrenska akademin. Han deltar i redaktörsgruppen till bokverket Omvårdnadens grunder (Studentlitteratur, tredje upplagan 2019). För International Philosophy of Nursing Society (IPONS) har han uppdrag som medlem i dess Executive Committee.
