About Mona Lundin

Professor in Education at the Faculty of Education.

Research interests My research interests primarily revolve around the role of IT and how IT is changing how we work. The technologies or systems we work with or within structure our work, but at the same time, there is room to work around these to accomplish certain tasks and thus meet the obligations and responsibilities we have as professional practitioners. Ultimately, the research concerns the consequences of IT for work, but also the competencies needed to perform tasks. Over the past decade, my research has been primarily conducted within schools and educational settings, with a special focus on teachers' digital work and professional digital competence. My research has been conducted in, or in close collaboration with, various school contexts.

Research Projects I have previously led a project funded by the Swedish Research Council on teachers' use of social media:

I have worked in three recently completed projects:

Teachers' Professional Digital Competence

Teachers' digital work - (in)balance between demands and support?

Infrastructures for partially digital citizens

I have extensive experience in teaching, educational development, and quality improvement, also through several managerial assignments. I am currently the director of studies for the graduate school CUL. I primarily teach courses at an advanced level (Master's program in IT and Learning, courses for a master's degree in higher education teaching and learning). At the department, I am one of the leader of the research group Learning, Education, and Society's Digitization: LEaD.
